Hi y’all! I am a third year Nuclear Engineering/EECS major with a Physics minor. My primary academic interests concern radiation, electromagnetic spectrum, and high/low energy physics. I develop software for radiation detectors for Professor Kai Vetter’s Dosenet group, and I work at LBNL (Lawrence Berkeley National Lab) fabricating and performing diagnostics tests on fiber optics. In my free time, I enjoy animals, video games, and reading. As your webmaster, I manage this website, manage the Berkeley ANS Facebook page, and create posters and wallpapers for ANS events.

Outreach Chair – Isaac Meyer

Isaac Meyer is a senior Nuclear Engineering Major. He has worked at LBNL running MCNP and other simulation codes in non-proliferation research. More recently, he spent the summer in Los Alamos running a rad-hydro code on supercomputers. Now he is back at Berkeley working on non-proliferation again by helping to determine light-yield from scintillators. He also loves teaching people about nuclear.

I am a 4th year, undergraduate majoring in Nuclear Engineering with minors in Physics and German. I was the ANS President last year, and I am proud to see the positive direction that our student section is headed in. I’m primarily interested in nuclear fusion research and technology, but I also find the fields of radiation oncology and laser plasma acceleration very interesting. Outside of coursework, I enjoy hiking and playing recreational sports.
